Paquette is the Acadian French term for a female lobster with fully formed eggs, which commands the highest market price for lobstermen. Lobster fishing remains one of the top resources for economic sustenance in the coastal Northeastern United States since the area was first inhabited by the Wampanoag, Massachusett, Nipmuck, Pennacook, Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, and Algonquin Peoples. These photographs were made during the last ten days of Summer in New England.
